About Dr. Taylor

Born in Roanoke, VA, Dr. Corey Taylor became interested in dentistry for its inherent ability to immediately improve a person’s quality of life. He is devoted to caring and comforting those in need.

Dr. Taylor is a proud Hokie, receiving his Bachelor of Science at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.  He then traveled to Richmond, VA., where he attended Virginia Commonwealth University and was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree finishing in the top 5% of his class. During that time, his experience in the operating room fostered an interest in surgery. He continued to widen his experience through participation in research projects and volunteering for mission of mercy and RAM projects where he provided dental care to the underserved. Dr. Taylor believes that experience and diligence to continuing education is the best way to serve patients. As a result, he attended an MD-integrated oral and maxillofacial surgery program at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where he obtained his medical degree and graduated with distinction. His extensive experience at UK both in the operating room and clinical settings helped expand his knowledge and expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Taylor had the privilege to serve as chief resident during his final year there.

Dr. Taylor’s specialties in oral and maxillofacial surgery include extractions, removal of wisdom teeth, implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery , biopsies, pathology, and facial trauma surgery. He incorporates the latest dental technology to improve the accuracy and predictability of dental implants and corrective jaw surgery, known as orthognathic surgery. His extensive education and experience with anesthesia also gives him the ability to perform these procedures safely and comfortably in the office.

In his free time, Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, exploring parks and outdoor spaces. He enjoys cooking, golfing, and gardening. He and his family are looking forward to growing roots in Charlotte and serving their community.

About Dr. Patel

Dr. Sneha Patel is extremely dedicated to the overall health and well-being of her patients. She is always available to his patients and prides herself on offering them the highest level of dentistry. It is her mission to create a strong dentist-patient relationship and then execute comprehensive dentistry.

Dr. Patel obtained her dental degree from the University of Minnesota with distinction. She has a dental degree from India as well. She is committed to continuing education to constantly learn new dental skills to better serve her patients. She believes in giving back to the community through various dental missions at home and abroad.

She practiced in Florida before moving to North Carolina and now calls Charlotte her home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and painting.

Dr. Patel speaks English, Gujarati and Hindi.

About Dr. L’Huillier

Dr. L’Huillier is an accomplished dentist and scientist.

She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and PhD from the Rutgers School of Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. L’Huillier has dedicated her career to finding the best way to solve patients’ oral health problems and optimizing their dental care. With her strong background, she brings both the latest knowledge and a gentle, holistic approach to her patients.

Before settling in Charlotte, Dr. L’Huillier practiced as a dentist in multiple states including Connecticut, Maryland, and South Carolina. She values innovation, health, and happiness above all, and always strives to treat every patient with personalized care and kindness.

About Dr. Vidalon

Dr. Christian Vidalon, a South Florida native, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nova Southeastern University before continuing to the University of Florida for dental school. His commitment to academic excellence and leadership during dental school earned him induction into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society.

After graduating, Dr. Vidalon practiced general dentistry in Central Florida for three years. It was during this time that he discovered his true passion for orthodontics, leading him to pursue specialized training. He completed his orthodontic residency at BronxCare Hospital in the Bronx, NY, where he honed his skills in creating beautiful, confident smiles for patients of all ages.

When his residency training was complete, Dr. Vidalon relocated to Charlotte with his wife to be closer to family. Outside of the office, he enjoys a variety of hobbies that reflect his creativity and hands-on nature. Whether he’s making music with synthesizers, dancing to techno music, baking sourdough bread, or tending to his beekeeping, Dr. Vidalon brings a unique blend of precision, artistry, and dedication to everything he does.

Dr. Vidalon is committed to providing personalized orthodontic care, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and confident throughout their treatment journey. He looks forward to setting strong roots in the community while providing high quality dental care.

About Dr. Forrest

After completing her Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Florida, Dr. Mallary Forrest, DDS, MSc earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2011. While in dental school, Dr. Forrest was invited into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and graduated in the top of her class. Upon completion of her dental degree, Dr. Forrest served the Charlotte area as a general dentist for over 6 years. While she enjoyed her time practicing general dentistry and gained invaluable experience, Dr. Forrest decided to hone her skills and specialize in the field of orthodontics. Orthodontics was the natural choice for her as it encompasses all the aspects of dentistry she values the most, culminating lasting relationships with her patients while helping them realize their dream of a beautiful smile. During her training at UNLV, Dr. Forrest earned an Orthodontic certificate and a Master of Science in oral biology while conducting extensive research in oral cancer.

Dr. Forrest’s broad range of experience in the dental field allows her to provide top of the line orthodontics tailored to fit your specific needs and desires. She is dedicated to taking the time to determine the best treatment modality and providing optimum results to create beautiful smiles that not only increases her patient’s confidence, but also sets them up for a lifetime of oral health and function.

Dr. Forrest is married to her high school sweetheart, Matt, a physical education teacher. Together, they have two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys being a mom, cooking, playing sports, and enjoying outdoor activities with her family.

About Dr. Kotis

Dr. Amanda Kotis is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist who understands the challenges of fear, shame, and financial struggles that often stand in the way of patients seeking dental care. She works to establish a clear and trusted plan for comprehensive treatments, inspiring patients to take the necessary steps toward achieving optimal oral health. Her mission is to empower individuals to embrace their circumstances and realize their potential for a beautiful, healthy smile.

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Kotis earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she double-majored in Psychology and African Studies. She went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at UNC Charlotte before pursuing dental school at the University of Kentucky. After earning her DMD, she furthered her education with a one-year General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center (now Atrium Health), where she gained valuable experience in hospital dentistry, cancer patient treatment planning, and emergency clinic care. This extensive training deepened her passion for helping patients navigate challenging circumstances, and her approach reflects the humility and respect she feels for those in her care.

Dr. Kotis spent 10 years successfully running her own dental practice in Statesville, NC, and also had the privilege of completing an Implant Dentistry Fellowship with the International Dental Implant Association. She further expanded her qualifications by becoming a certified dental sleep medicine dentist, an IPEC-certified coach, and a Christian Mental Health Coach. She also became certified to offer minimal sedation dentistry in her office, a service she provided until she sold her practice.

After overcoming breast cancer treatment, Dr. Kotis returned to work at Friendly Dental on a part-time basis, allowing her to spend more time with her children, Tucker and Layla. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, fly fishing, volunteering, cooking, and spending time with her family.

With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Kotis is highly skilled in dental implant placement, complex extractions, bone grafting, emergency treatments, and caring for patients facing medical challenges. Whether you need a broken tooth fixed, a root canal or extraction, or extensive full-mouth rehabilitation, including crowns, bridges, or implant-supported dentures, she has the expertise to help. Dr. Kotis has placed and restored numerous implants, is available for same-day extractions and crown/bridge treatments, and has completed full-mouth rehabilitations, including both crown cases and implant-supported dentures.

Pavana Karanth

Dr. Pavana Karanth is passionate about dentistry and has been practicing since 2004. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, The North Carolina Dental Association and the Molis Coaching Academy. She has completed several advanced courses in implant dentistry, Invisalign, and cosmetic dentistry to allow her to remain current in cutting edge technology.
Dr. Karanth, also known as Dr. K, is well regarded by her patients for being a kind and considerate dentist. She is respectful of patients’ individual needs and concerns. Throughout her 20 plus year career, she has developed a reputation for being conscientious and providing patients with the highest quality of care. Her gentle and calm disposition ensures patients have an excellent experience when they visit the dental office.
Outside of work, Dr. Karanth loves spending time with her husband and two sons. She likes to stay active and you can find her taking exercise classes at the YMCA, running, and walking. She enjoys reading fiction, shopping, and checking out new restaurants that Charlotte constantly has to offer.

Becky Ciccione

Dr. Ciccione is a passionate dentist as well as a dedicated mother to three young children. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2010, and over the past decade, she has honed her diagnostic and clinical skills to provide exceptional patient care. Dr. Ciccione is passionate about delivering quality care, listening attentively to her patients, offering tailored treatment options, and building long-lasting relationships. She thrives on the technical, hands-on aspects of dentistry and has a particular passion for surgical procedures. She can provide services ranging from extractions to cosmetic veneers/crowns and everything in between including headache/sleep apnea appliances, Invisalign and compassionate pediatric care.

Since moving to Charlotte in 2017, Dr. Ciccione has enjoyed balancing her professional life with her family life, alongside her husband Joe and their three children. Compassionate, energetic, and positive, she is family- oriented and often spends her free time exploring parks, nature preserves and children’s activities around Charlotte. Dr. Ciccione’s commitment to her patients and her community is evident in every aspect of her practice.

Michael Danze

Dr. Michael Danze is a general restorative, cosmetic dentist who began practicing dentistry in Charlotte and Matthews in 1991. He has over 33 years of experience and knowledge in his field of general dentistry. He received his undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Florida in 1984, and his DMD degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1990. Dr. Danze is a current member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.

Dr. Danze grew up in New Jersey and South Florida. He and his wife Lori have been happily married for 37 years. They are proud parents of four children: two young men, Adam and Matthew, and two young women, Gillian and Sydney. Their son Adam, and his wife Kaitlin, recently began their dual Orthodontist/Pediatric dentistry practice in Charlotte. Their daughter Sydney is currently a first-year dental student attending the UNC Dental School in Chapel Hill, NC. Their daughter Gillian works in the Public Health field in Asheville, NC, and their son Matthew is currently a graduate intern student at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. Dr. Danze has been active in the NC Missions of Mercy free dental clinics.

During his free time, Dr. Danze enjoys cheering on the Florida Gators basketball and football teams, and the Carolina Panthers. He also loves traveling with his wife, Lori, gardening, and spending time with his family, his two dogs and his cat.

Jasenna Johnson

Dr. Jasenna Johnson is a native North Carolinian. She completed her undergraduate studies at UNC-Chapel Hill and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.  After graduation, Dr. Johnson relocated to our nation’s capital where she completed her specialty training at Howard University’s College of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.  

In her spare time, Dr. Johnson and her family enjoy traveling and trying various cuisines.

Renu Virdi

Dr. Virdi is a dedicated general dentist with a primary mission of examining, diagnosing, and treating oral diseases. She values integrity and respect as aspects that will build better confidence and trust from the patients towards her. She has also acquired membership with the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.

Dr. Virdi obtained a dental degree in India before going on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University Of Minnesota in 2020, and has been practicing ever since. She has also done dental mission work in the USA and India. 

Dr. Virdi makes strives to stay up-to-date with current developments in dentistry. To that end, she maintains the highest levels of accreditation and takes advantage of ongoing education in both general and cosmetic dentistry. 

When not in the dental office, Dr. Virdi spends her spare time traveling and living in the moment with her family.

Rossi M. Williams

Rossi M. Williams DDS was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio.  He attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  After graduation, he taught a G.E.D. program for at-risk young adults in Columbia, Tennessee before attending Meharry Medical College where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

After his completion of dental school, Dr. Williams chose to strengthen his skillset by attending a General Practice Residency program at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. It was there he realized his passion to help children, which lead him to completing his Pediatric Dentistry training at Howard University’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry in Washington, D.C. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association and the National Dental Association. 

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, finding new adventures with his sons, traveling, sports, and volunteering. He has a passion for working with at-risk youth as well as being an advocate for the underserved throughout his community. 

Emily C. Dunlap

A native of North Carolina, Dr. Dunlap completed her undergraduate education at Campbell University in 2000, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2004, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and participated in rotations at the Oral Surgery Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Pediatric Dental Clinics of Cumberland and Orange Counties.

Dr. Dunlap is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Dunlap and her husband are the proud parents of one son, Carson, and two daughters, Caroline and Campbell. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, baking, and watching college football.

About Dr. Rafael Torres

Dr. Rafael Torres obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1999. He then graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico Dental School in 2004. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Torres worked as a lieutenant and Chief Dental Officer for the U.S. Public Health Service in Three Rivers, Texas. During this time he also graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement training center in Georgia.

Later, he practiced in Washington, D.C. where he enjoyed treating personnel from foreign embassies, the Spanish Catholic Center and the Hispanic community in general.

After moving to North Carolina, he practiced for several years at the Bernstein Community Health Center and at a private practice in New Bern. Dr. Torres is also a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). In 2014, he obtained his fellowship status with the ICOI.

Dr. Torres enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, and participating in water sports and scuba diving.

About Dr. Rafael Mendez

Dr. Rafael Mendez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras, in 1998 with a degree in Natural Sciences.
He then attended the University of Puerto Rico, School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated in 2002 and won the Raymond Baralt Award for his professionalism, leadership, civism, and love for the dental profession.

Dr. Mendez is a member of the International Association for Orthodontics. From 2008-2009, Dr. Mendez was the Vice President of the Lions Club in his hometown of Manati, Puerto Rico.

Before joining Friendly Dental in 2023, Dr. Mendez had a practice in Puerto Rico from 2002 to 2009, he practiced at the Kinston Community Health Center and The Bernstein Clinic in Greenville, NC. from 2010 to 2013. He practiced at The Dental Care Center, Greenville, NC from 2013 to 2014 and was Co-Owner of Earp Dentistry in Greenville, NC from 2014 to 2022.

In his spare time Dr. Mendez enjoys spending time with his wife, Wanda, his two children, Cesar and Gaby and his granddaughters Aileen and Mia. As a family they enjoy traveling and visiting the beach. Photography is one of Dr. Mendez’s passions, and he enjoys taking pictures of their travels to make the memories last a lifetime.

About Dr. Chun Peng

Dr. Chun Peng is well-equipped to meet all your general dentistry needs and then some. The Taiwan native honed his skills at Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry, from which he graduated in 2009. He then went on to serve his country as a General Dentist in the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Peng continued building upon his expertise by training in dental implantation through Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. A dedicated foodie, he spends his free time sampling new dishes – when he’s not teaching his dog to do new tricks.
Thanks to a specialized skill set and years of experience, all patients – whether in need of routine dental care or a dental implant – can turn to Dr. Peng with confidence for a quality, successful result.

About Dr. Jagdeep Trivedi

For more than a decade, Dr. Jagdeep Trivedi has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in general dentistry. In 2012, the Toronto native earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After completing a General Practice Residency program at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, she went on to practice in that area for eight years.

Now, she happily calls North Carolina “home,” having recently relocated to Charlotte with her husband, their daughter, and a fur baby. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and checking out the newest restaurants.

Dr. Trivedi is a member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Association. Her dedication to continuing education and providing personalized care is central to her goal of improving the quality of patients’ lives, one smile at a time.

About Dr. Duval

Dr. Duval received his Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences from Furman University. After graduation, he continued his education at University of Texas at Arlington, concentrating in health and biomedical sciences. Dr. Duval then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Medical University of South Carolina. He is a member of the Charlotte Dental Society as well as the American Dental Association. He enjoys working with patients to improve their oral health and give them beautiful smiles.

When not serving the needs of his patients, Dr. Duval enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and concerts, and spending time with family and friends.

About Dr. Edelmann

Dr. Edelmann has had a passion for Orthodontics for as long as he can remember. As a patient he appreciated how grateful he was to be treated by an Orthodontist and decided early in life to dedicate his life to providing that same experience for others.

Born in San Diego, he spent most of his life in Southwest Florida. He attended Marshall University through the prestigious Yeager Scholar program and earned a degree in Accounting (Summa Cum Laude). During his undergrad tenure he spent time studying at Oxford University and completing dental research in Africa.

Dr. Edelmannn then matriculated to the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill for his dental degree graduating with Distinction and being selected as the OKU Kramer Award winner for his class. It was at UNC where he continued his work in published research. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston for a two year orthodontic residency where he completed a master’s thesis on clear aligner therapy that was accepted into a renowned national dental publication: American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Outside the office, Dr. Edelmann can be found on the tennis court or at the gym. He also enjoys visiting his family in Florida and playing with his “adopted” dog Fritz that he shares with his fiancee.

About Dr. Kilgore

Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan she completed her education at West Virginia University. Dr. Kilgore earned her bachelor’s degree in Science and was a member of the Women’s Basketball team, playing in a few NCAA tournaments. Dr. Kilgore then completed her dental training at University of Michigan, School of Dentistry earning her D.D.S. With a particular interest in surgery, Dr. Kilgore pursued Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at Brookdale Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Kilgore now resides in Charlotte, NC and has particular interests in implant dentistry and wisdom teeth removal.

In her free time, Dr. Kilgore enjoys traveling, working out and watching sports such as basketball and football. She spends most of her time with family and her best dog friend “Kobe.”

About Dr. Mahmud

Dr. Abdullah Mahmud was born in Brooklyn, New York and spent the first 15 years of his life in the New York and New Jersey area. At the age of 15, his family relocated to Charlotte, NC where he attended the remainder of his high school years. Dr. Mahmud then attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and double majored in German Linguistics and Biology with a concentration in Microbiology. After graduation from UNC Charlotte, he spent several years involved in entrepreneurial activities including opening a restaurant business.

Dr. Mahmud then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Detroit, MI and graduated with high honors and was inducted in the prestigious OKU honor society. His special interests lie in oral surgical procedures, implantology, and removable prosthodontics. Dr. Mahmud is happy to serve the needs of his patients and always strives towards ensuring that the highest level of dental care is provided at all visits.

About Dr. LaPenna

Dr. LaPenna hails from New England.  After growing up in New Hampshire, she left the mountains for the city of Boston where she received her Bachelor of Science degree from Emmanuel College and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine.  She then went on to advance her training and was selected into a highly prestigious, implant-based two year residency program at Stony Brook University on Long Island.  Later, she came down south to enjoy a slower pace and warmer weather. Dr. LaPenna enjoys all aspects of dentistry, keeping up with the latest in technology and advancements through seminars and continuing education courses.  Her passions are cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. LaPenna enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two rescue dogs.  She and her family will often go swimming, hiking, or stay home doing small renovation projects together.  If there’s free time, she loves reading, playing the piano, and ballroom dancing.

About Dr. Chimenti

Dr. Chimenti is originally from Brazil where she obtained her DDS Degree with honors from Faculdade de Odontologia de Campos RJ-Brasil.  After working as a dentist for a few years in Brazil, Dr. Chimenti moved to New York. She then attended Dental Hygiene School at NYU college of Dentistry and worked as a Dental Hygienist from October 2011 to March 2015. Because of her love and passion for the practice of dentistry she decided to further her education in dentistry, so she may achieve her licensure in The United States.

Dr. Chimenti received her DMD degree at The University of Illinois in Chicago. Upon receiving her degree, Dr. Chimenti moved back to New York where she completed her general practice residency at St. Barnabas in The Bronx. After  finishing her residency she decided to leave New York and move to North Carolina.

Dr. Chimenti has been married to her husband for 14 years who she shares three adorable children with.  She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. When she is not at work she loves exercising, eating healthy and spending quality time with her beautiful family.

About Dr. Karthik Naidu

Dr. Karthik Naidu is a native of eastern Georgia. He attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia. From there he completed medical school and residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University at Buffalo.

Dr. Naidu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as the North Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Naidu provides the finest care, serving the best interest of his patients and is committed to this oath through continual education in dental technology.

Dr. Naidu is married and in his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and attending sporting events.

About Dr. Eftekhar

I love interacting with my patients; they are my priority and I would like to help them achieve ideal oral health while they are enjoying their smile and healthy mouth.  My philosophy is to treat my patients like my own family, and I love to give healthier and more attractive smile to my family members.  I have been practicing dentistry since 2010. Dr. Sonceau was born in the Bahamas and received a bachelors degree in Biology from
Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL, after which she attended The Ohio State University
and participated in the Graduate Dentistry Research Program.

She then received her dental degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California in 2000.

Dr. Sonceau is a member of the American Dental Association, certified Invisalign provider and actively attends continuing education courses throughout the US to expand her dental knowledge.

She has been practicing in Charlotte since 2004. Dr. Sonceau is extremely dedicated to her patient’s dental health and well being. She is a very loyal and active member of her church. Her interests include music, traveling and cooking.

About Dr. Nguyen

Dr. Natalie Nguyen was born and raised in Fayetteville, AR. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Business Management.

As a senior at the U of A, she attended the Consortium Institute for Management and Business Analysis (CIMBA). It is an internationally recognized study abroad institute that trains future professional leaders.

She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery. She would then complete the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry.

Dr. Nguyen participates as a Faculty Member of Spear Education and is a member of the Greater Charlotte Study Group. She also maintains her membership with the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society.

INTERESTS

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends.

About Dr. Mann

Dr. Amy Mann was born and raised here in Charlotte NC. She earned her bachelors degree in Nutrition Science at Indiana University. She then went on to earn a MA in Medical science at Boston University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine, graduating cum laude in 2012.

She completed her Residency at Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Mann worked at Boston, MA as a General Dentist for 4 years, before moving back to the Charlotte area. Dr. Mann is passionate about providing great care to her patients. She takes pride in her abilities to soothe and put at ease even the most anxious of patients

Dr. Mann has taken numerous continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and advancements in dentistry. Dr. Mann is a member of the American Dental association and the North Carolina Dental association.

In her spare time Dr. Mann, her husband and their two little boys love the outdoors (especially the beach), traveling, and trying new restaurants.

About Dr. Barnwell

Dr. Barnwell attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated in 1986 with a B.S. in Biology. He matriculated into the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio.

Graduation from dental school in 1990 was followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. The residency was completed in 1991.

Dr. Barnwell and Friendly Dental of Rock Hill are fully committed to ensuring optimal dental care is provided to our community. We broadly focus our attention on caring for the children and adults who call Rock Hill their home, by appointment or walk-in.

Dr. Barnwell offers his patients state of the art dental care through procedures such as no-prep veneers, custom bleaching, and implant retained dentures, where applicable.

INTERESTS

When Dr. Barnwell is not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three adult children. He also enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring the wonders of the natural world.

About Dr. Allen

Dr. Crystal Allen graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia. Prior to dental school Dr. Allen received her master degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her bachelor degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia.

While in dental school Dr. Allen received the A.D. Williams Student Research Grant, awarded to a student who wishes to conduct laboratory research. Her research focused on the spread of head and neck cancer. She also received the Robert M. Saunders scholarship, which is awarded each year to a dental student with exceptional academic credentials.

Dr. Allen is passionate about helping people. She wants to use her skills to help you achieve your dental desires. She is dedicated to continuing her education and always providing quality care to her patients.  While in practice she has taken many CE courses including, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, sleep dentistry and implants.

INTERESTS

Dr. Allen is originally from Yorktown, Virginia. Prior to residing in Charlotte, she was in private practice in Greenville, NC.  She is married and has a son Tradd. When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family and their dog Walter, working out, and cooking.

About Dr. Nagel

Dr. Nagel was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of a dentist. He attended Indiana University of PA and obtained a BS in Biology in 1988 along with being an All-American swimmer and captain of the team.

From there Dr. Nagel attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1993 with a DMD degree.

After working in his father’s practice, he opened two practices of his own, one in 1997 and another in 2004. He sold his two practices in 2008 and decided to move to North Carolina where his two brothers live.

Dr. Nagel has extensive restorative experience with implant dentistry and the All on 4 Restorative procedure. He also has extensive experience with full mouth reconstruction and advanced restorative procedures as well as all cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Nagel looks forward to providing the highest level of dental care to all of his patients, and would be happy to chat through the advantages of cosmetic and general dentistry, as well as dental implants.

He lives in Denver, NC with his wife Susan, son Scotty, daughter Izabella and identical triplet boys Nolan, Josef and Lincoln. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking with Dakari, one of his 3 dogs. He also enjoys watching the Pittsburgh, Penquins, and the Steelers.

About Dr. Hull

Dr. Jim Hull has been a practicing orthodontist in Charlotte for over 30 years. He is very proud to be carrying on the Charlotte tradition of his father’s practice, which started in 1950.

Dr. Hull received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and his Master of Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Hull understands the needs and concerns of his patients and strives to deliver the highest quality dental care in the most comfortable environment. He stays current with the latest technological advances through continuing education courses and being a member of local dental associations.

Dr. Hull was born and raised in Charlotte. His wife is Ginny, and he has three sons, Carter, Turner, and Jordan, and a daughter, Jessie.
